I’m proud to present "Sahar", a new piece in the Visages du Monde series, inspired by the Indigenous peoples of Egypt and the majestic landscapes of the desert that surrounds them. Sahar, meaning dawn in Arabic, embodies that suspended moment between night and light, when the desert breathes, and silence carries the promise of a new day. 
This poetic name reflects the quiet strength of those who carry the memory of the land within them. Her face blends seamlessly with the eternal landscapes of Egypt: pyramids rise like sacred guardians of time, golden dunes sweep across her cheeks, and palm trees whisper the rare and precious presence of water. 

The piece draws from powerful cultural symbols — from the Nubian people, guardians of an ancient Nile civilization deeply connected to light and water, to the Bedouins of the western desert, whose traditions and wisdom are rooted in sand, wind, and stars. Their spirit is reflected in Sahar’s gaze, her adornments, and her presence. 
As a signature element of the Visages du Monde series, a detailed landscape is subtly painted within each eye. In Sahar, the reflection reveals a silent desert of dunes and palm trees, as if the entire memory of the earth were contained in her eyes — a mirror of infinity, capturing not only the first light of dawn but also the soul of a people and the timeless power of their land. 

"Sahar" is a tribute to the strength of desert women, to those who live in harmony with their environment, and to the cultures often forgotten but deeply alive. It is a celebration of inner light, collective memory, and the natural beauty of our origins.

Delivery and returns policy

What is the delivery delay ?

The delivery time is 5/6 working days for each package. Delivery of posters alone, classic frames and “American frames” 50 x 70 cm is done via GLS. For “American Frame” frames and “Prestige” editions, delivery is made via DHL.

Can I order a work in the dimensions or visuals of my choice?

Julien Durix does not offer personalized orders. Limited editions are only available in 50 x 70 cm and 100 x 70 cm formats on our site. If you are interested in larger formats, please view the original works on display at Les Galeries Bartoux.

Are limited art prints hand painted?

No, these are high quality art prints, signed and numbered by the artist. Only original works are unique and hand painted. These can be found at Les Galeries Bartoux.
