We caught up with Julien for a charity auction at the Par Coeur Gala.
Organized for the past ten years by Tony and Axelle Parker, the Gala raises funds for various charities.
This year, the 12th edition of the Gala was held at L'Abbaye de Collonges in Lyon for the association “Sourire à la vie”. “Sourire à la vie” helps children suffering from cancer to get through the disease in the best possible conditions. Numerous guests gathered for this evening of solidarity.
Sublime dishes from the magical Paul Bocuse are served in a joyful and convivial atmosphere throughout the evening. At around 9:30 pm, an auction began, featuring some exceptional lots: Jean Jacques Goldman's guitar, a trip to Charlotte with Tony and Axelle Parker, a pair of Louboutin shoes and, last but not least, Julien Durix's “Spruced up” painting!
Numerous buyers battled for long minutes without giving up anything to obtain this Durix and help raise the bidding for the children of “Sourire à la vie”.
At 11.30pm, Julien's work was sold for a record price of 50,000 euros! A wonderful donation for a wonderful cause. Julien can be proud of himself!
