Sometimes there are artistic projects that bring out the best in us, this is one of them.
Far from the workshop, Julien decided to discover the Zoo/Refuge of Saint-Martin-la-Plaine located not far from Lyon.
Following this meeting with the keepers and workers of the park, he decided to produce a work representing one of the mythical animals of the park, the gorilla, for the benefit of the Association Tonga Terre d’Accueil which works to offer a new life to animals resulting from trafficking or seized by justice.
The park was put to the test during 7 long months of closure linked to the Covid.
Julien alerted and very touched by the situation of the zoological space decided to help them in his own way.
And so after more than 90 hours of work and 1500 roses, the original work “Gincko” was born. A piece of art in an exceptional format because it measures 2 meters 20 by 1 meter 60.
With the complicity of Galeries Bartoux, the sale of the work raised 10,000 euros which were entirely donated to the Association Tonga Terre d’Accueil.
Very touched by the action of the park, the whole team wanted to help them by offering to make a donation for the purchase of each limited edition of the work “Gincko”:
A great way to pay tribute to the work of Mrs. and Mr. Thivillon and their team for all the hard work done to offer these animals a better life.
